Preparation for Labor & Birth

Preparing for labor & birth is incredibly beneficial to your confidence levels and comfort surrounding your pregnancy and birth. Does everything always go according to plan? Not always! But we’re here to help you feel more confident & empowered, no matter if your birth goes exactly the way you envisioned or if it becomes something unexpected.

Push Prep Sessions

Creating comfort and awareness around your pelvic floor is incredibly beneficial during your pregnancy. With our push prep sessions, we can optimize your pelvic floor, diaphragm, and core to practice pushing your baby out while facilitating a relaxed pelvic floor! These sessions involve trialing various positions with an internal component, practicing pushing, and leaving the session confident in your optimal pushing positions with a list of your pelvic floor’s favorite ones.

Partner Sessions for Labor Support

Bring your birth partner in and let us help you both navigate various comfort measures surrounding birth! We’ll get hands-on with positions and benefits of each position, teaching your birth partner how to advocate for you- as the birthing person, and helping you both understand more of what’s to be expected.

Postpartum Pelvic Floor Therapy

No matter what kind of birth you had, we want to see you for your 6 week postpartum visit! When you’re “cleared”, your pelvic floor & core are not checked thoroughly- because that’s a pelvic floor therapist’s job! We would love to help you with any postpartum needs you may have— whether it be for bowel or bladder issues, aches and pains that are either new or old, making sure your pelvic organs are staying right where they’re supposed to be, ensuring that you’re enjoying sex, and so much more!

Early Postpartum Mom & Baby Consultation

This is one of our specialties & unique offerings - we come to you for a 90 minute session in your home for our postpartum mom & baby consultation! This takes place between 2 days - 6 weeks postpartum and encompasses a wide variety of care, including an assessment of your ergonomics during functional activities like babywearing and feeding your baby, an assessment of baby’s reflexes & oralmotor skills, blood pressure & mental health screening, educational handouts, an extra set of hands for anything you might need done quickly while we’re there, and more!

Scar Management

If you have a cesarean scar or a perineal scar of any degree (including from an episiotomy), come see us for your scar management! It’s vital to get scar tissue mobilized early on, and within the first 6 months is optimal. If you’re coming after that - no biggie! It might just take a bit longer to see results. We can use a personalized combination of education for at-home scar management with clinic treatment of cupping, kinesiotape, and soon-to-be dry needling to help mobilize the tissue and reduce aches and pains down the road from fascial tension.

Babywearing & Stroller Biomechanics

Bring your stroller, baby carrier, and any other gear you want to show us— we’ll help you make sure that it’s fit correctly to you and whoever else you need it to fit! We love making sure that babies and their parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles are comfortable and utilizing the amazing gear that we have nowadays in a way that protects your core & pelvic floor.
